My
confidence is found not in others’ opinion of me; not in my assessment of myself;
not in my looks, possessions, position, wealth, or power; my confidence is
found not even in my blessings. All of these can change in an instant like the
direction of the wind. The one, sure, steadfast, constant truth I find my
confidence in is my identity as A
Daughter of the King and my position of royalty in God’s kingdom. My confidence
is found in my permanent place of belonging in my Father’s household. My
confidence is found in God alone.
